Work Experience
Graduate Research Assistant, University of Tennessee, January 2020- March 2022
A quantitative analysis of USGS SE Climate Adaptation Science Center Projects: Are the projects used by partners? Are they scientifically innovative?
Dissertation Projects, University of Tennessee, August 2018 - March 2022
How do traditional pastoralists weight future environmental benefits when managing natural resources?
How do discount rates affect land protection strategies?
Enriching livelihoods by cultivating international multidisciplinary partnerships that advance science, research, education, and outreach in aquaculture and fisheries in environmentally and socially acceptable ways.
Senior Staff Researcher, Kope Lion January 2016 - October 2016
Promoting human-wildlife coexistence through research and the implementation of a sustainable, community-based conservation program.
Graduate Research Assistant, Virginia Tech., July 2013 - Dec. 2015
Who fishes for stocked trout and what do they want?
How do catch rates vary following stocking events?
Staff Research Scientist, Montana State Univ., May 2012 – May 2013
How do stream channel and valley morphology influence hyporheic exchange and respective river temperatures?
Undergraduate Researcher, Montana State University 2009-2011
I conducted a two-year long project that investigated the effects of intensive stream remediation on whole-stream metabolism and compared the traditional metabolism methodology to a newer approach that utilized an inverse Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo model.
Field Assistant, Montana State University, 2009-2011
I assisted two projects. The first project assessed groundwater-surface water interactions before and after stream channel reconstruction, while the other investigated unintended consequences between trout habitat enhancement and anglers in western streams.
